Aang energy bending vs. Amon ‘energy bending’ requested by anon
Whether or not Amon actually posses the power to take away someones bending, these two scenes were possibly the greatest paralleles between any two shows I have ever seen. In one, Aang has stuck to his beliefs and has found away to end the violence, with out any. This moment was arguably the climax of the entire series, and a revelation for Aang himself. Until now, energy bending was associated only with this dramatic but good scene. In the other scene, Amon has taken this power, or something similar to it, and twisted it to fit his own beliefs. The concept of energy will never be the same.
I would be lying if I said I wasn’t in tears while making this gif set.
